SPOILERS: Riese and Stargate Universe

No NCIS or Glee, so this was a thoroughly Sci-fi/SyFy day. Though the best sci-fi of the week honor most certainly goes to Sanctuary (more on that later), Stargate Universe did pull out a good episode.

As for Riese....Ehh. One plus, however, is one of the cutest kidnapped tattooed babies ever. Really. So adorable.

Riese, "Fragments" :The truth is I have nothing to say - becaues that was a whole lot of nothing, totally nothing. There was no advancement of the plot, no more information given, just dramatic moments that never really hit me. The only good bit of narration was the bit "sounds easy, right" because for once it was slightly snarky and poking at the fact that so far this is a rather cliche story. Herrik and the doctor's conversation was pointless, Hannah didin't provide that much more

However, at least we know the babies are alive. That's something right? Right? I hope so...

Stargate Universe, "Trail and Error": A good episode, that touched on a lot of plot lines that have been rather neglected, all from the perspective of the wonderful Col. Everett Young. I kept this in bullets because I think they're rather cohesive ideas already.
  • TJ and Young talking about his wife divorcing him. AWKWARD. Needed. But then not addressed for the rest of the episode. I wanted more resolution! Or at least more references!
  • I can't tell if the actress is trying to play Chloe as dead inside or not, cause that's what I'm getting with all her scenes. She just seems to not care at all, and I can't tell if it's intended. It certainly doesn't make me connect with her.
  • I knew the first attack was a dream, it was too rushed, not enough tension or drama (the music was lacking)
  • I still don't understand why Rush's work is so mathy. Shouldn't it all be translation? He's basically looking at pre-written Ancient code.
  • Greer and Eli buddy up over Gin, actually kinda cute
  • Moments between Everett and TJ later on, tense, quiet, solemn, GOOD
  • Franklin's not really helpful to Rush this episode, just incredibly creepy
  • Confesses about Riley to Scott, tells him to find someone else to play dad (excellent, given his role in the Cloverdale episode)
  • Fascinating idea about the ship judging Col Young but without personality/desire - yet Rush made the jump in the end. Interesting, seeing as how the people Rush have been seeing also seem to be testing him. Maybe the ship is trying to judge Rush versus Young?
